It’s That Time Again:
It’s that time again for the 3rd Annual Ricky Miller
Memorial Race. For those of you who didn’t have the fortune of
knowing Ricky he was a racer in the true sense! From 5 years old
his interests and desires were 100% racing. Ricky began racing at
the local race tracks, quickly advancing to Northeast Regional
events, finally racing from Northern Maine to Southern Florida in
all types of divisions. He had great success moving up the racing
ladder to the elite racing divisions. A racing accident left Ricky
with a severe concussion which ultimately led to us losing this
precious sparkling ray of joy. Ricky’s “Smile and Style” were just
so unique and special. Losing a child is life’s ultimate tragedy,
but having this racing event each year, raising money for David’s
House with 100% of money raised going to such a worthwhile cause
puts a positive aspect on such a tragic event for Ricky’s Family.
The race is 112 laps
signifying Ricky’s last racecar #12. The Modifieds were his
favorite division and it’s such an honor to us his family to have
the racing community come together each year and raise money in
Ricky’s memory. Everyone’s participation is so appreciated and
helps so much to raise the money donated to David’s House. Let’s
make this July 23rd & 24th event successful
and all have fun!
Please check back often! We will be adding raffle prizes and
lots of information as it comes in for the 2010 "Ricky's Race For
Kids." |
